How to read a JK model name
Take JK-PB2A16S20P: PB is the inverter BMS series, 2A a 2 A active balancer, 16S up to 16 cells in series, 20P 200 A rated current (the number is in tens of amps).
On the smaller BD boards the balancer figure is in tenths: BD6A20S10P means a 0.6 A balancer, up to 20 cells, 100 A.

Inverter BMS or smart BMS?
The PB series is built for home storage: it sits in a rack-style 48 V pack and talks to the inverter over CAN or RS485, through RJ45 sockets, with DIP switches to give each board an address when packs run in parallel. JK BMS Monitor uses one of these RS485 sockets.
The B and BD series are general purpose boards, found in e-bikes, vans and many DIY packs. They talk over Bluetooth and a small UART connector; they have no RJ45 RS485 socket. They are not the target of this edition.
Before you order
- Note the full model and the hardware version shown in the JK app (About, or device information).
- Check that one RS485 socket is free on the board, or on the last board of a parallel chain.
- Tell us your inverter and how it talks to the BMS (CAN or RS485) in the order form.
